Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using we.cam (the "Service"), a service provided by US Support LLC, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

IMPORTANT: This service uses peer-to-peer (P2P) technology which may expose your IP address to other participants. We recommend using a VPN to protect your privacy.

2. Description of Service

we.cam is a peer-to-peer video and text chat platform available via web browser and mobile applications. The Service is currently in beta.

P2P Service: Video and audio streams are transmitted directly between participants. We temporarily store minimal data (room info, display names) which is automatically deleted. No accounts required.

Instant Rooms: Visit we.cam or use the mobile app to get a unique room (e.g., "Happy-Blue-Panda"). Share the room code or URL to invite others.

Room Types: Public rooms (anyone with code/URL) and private rooms (passcode required).

2.3 Mobile Application

The we.cam mobile app provides the same P2P video chat functionality as the website. By using the mobile app, you also agree to:

Device Permissions: The app requires camera and microphone access to function. You may also grant notification, vibration, and Bluetooth permissions for enhanced functionality.
Local Storage: The app stores your display name and preferences locally on your device. Recent room history is stored for convenience and automatically cleared after 24 hours.
Background Operation: During active calls, the app may run in the background to maintain your connection. A notification will indicate when a call is active.
App Store Terms: Use of the app is also subject to the terms of Google Play Store and/or Apple App Store.

Same Privacy: The mobile app uses the same P2P technology as the website. Your video, audio, and messages travel directly to other participants.

2.1 Private Rooms

Private rooms use numeric passcodes (max 20 digits), hashed with SHA256. Access is automatic - anyone with the correct passcode joins immediately.

Warning: "Copy Invite Link" includes the passcode in the URL. Only share with trusted people.

2.2 Room Features & Host Controls

Modes: Party Mode (everyone speaks) or Queue Mode (take turns).

Host Controls: Mute participants, remove/ban users, manage speaking queue.

E2E Encryption: Optional password-based encryption (AES-256-GCM). We cannot decrypt.

Screen Sharing: Available to all participants.

3. Age Restrictions

You must be at least 13 years old. Users under 18 require parental supervision.

4. User Conduct

You agree NOT to:

Harass, abuse, or engage in inappropriate behavior
Share illegal, harmful, or offensive content
Violate laws or regulations
Disrupt or attack the Service
Record without all participants' consent
Impersonate others

5. Privacy and Data

P2P: Video/audio/text goes directly between users, not through our servers.

We temporarily store:

Room info, participant data, event logs, queue data
Passcode hashes (SHA256, never actual passcodes)

Auto-deleted: Rooms (24hr), participants (1hr), events (60min), signals (5min).

Third-party: Google STUN servers (for P2P setup), Google Analytics (anonymous).

Cookies: Essential session cookies only (security). No tracking cookies.

6. Disclaimer & Liability

This is a beta service provided "as is" without warranties.

DISCLAIMER: US Support LLC is not liable for any damages from using this service, including IP exposure, privacy breaches, data loss, or service issues. Use at your own risk.

7. Service Availability

No uptime guarantees. We may suspend or discontinue the Service at any time.

8. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use = acceptance.
